Description
Contenu de la formation
— De Septembre à Décembre
Module 1 : State of the art — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Anastasia Pistofidou, Cecilia Raspanti
This class will introduce you to the Fabricademy topics and background and provide all the details on why and how document your work.
Module 2 : Digital body — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Anastasia Pistofidou
This class introduces new digital tools that complement hand tools in order to design, represent, make and modify the human figure that can then be used as a canvas for creation.
Module 3 : Open Source Circular Fashion — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Zoe Romano
In this class the lecture will outline the systems behind fashion and the textile industry, focusing on alternative systems such as circular fashion, agile fashion, open value chains.
Module 4 : Biochromes — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Cecilia Raspanti
This class will focus on exploring colouring alternatives to the current ones. Ranging from plant based, insect base and bacteria based pigments.
Module 5 : E-textile — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Liza Stark
During this week students will be introduced to an overview of the field of electronic textiles, example works in the field as well as materials and technical developments that have made these projects possible. We will go into details on different techniques for making soft/flexible/fabric circuits.
Module 6 : Bio-fabricating materials — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Anastasia Pistofidou
This class will focus on exploring material alternatives to the current ones. By bridging craftsmanship techniques and todays easier access to technologies, we explore alternative material resources in order to craft their processing and develop products and materials hand in hand.
Module 7 : Computational Couture — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Aldo Sollazzo
In this lecture participants will explore computational design methods towards a new reinterpretation of cloths, garments and accessories for fashion design, inspired by a new digital design methodology.
Module 8 : Open Source Machines — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Mar Canet & Varvara Guljajeva
The class explores the open source hardware field in general and focuses on its potential in the area of textile. How to update obsolete machines for producing textile? How to take advantage of digital fabrication and open source technology to come up with an open source machine for knitting, weaving and invent new techniques.
Module 9 : Textile Scalfold— 1 semaine
Intervenant : Anastasia Pistofidou
Technical textiles have various applications, among which agrotech, building, clothes, geotech, sports. In this class we will use textiles for composites, polymerisation, solidification, fabric formwork, crystallization, composites and biocomposites, agglomerates, etc.
Module 10 : Wearables — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Liza Stark
This second class on the topic of wearables and e-textiles will provide a more advanced coverage on soft sensors and actuators and programming interactions
Module 11 : Implications & Applications — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Oscar Tomico
Recent developments in electronics, software programming and service design are shaking the current notions of what a textile is. Societal trends like a renewed interest in crafts, the need for a sustainable mass production system and the emergence of personalization are reshaping the way the fashion system works.
Module 12 : Soft Robotics — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Dr. Lily Chambers & Adriana Cabrera
This class will focus in the study of a specific field in robotics, the soft robotics. Unlike rigid robots we are mostly used to, soft bodied robots have similarities and performance characteristics similar to living organisms or the human body.
Module 13 : Skin electronic — 1 semaine
Intervenant : Katia Vega
In the same way that the wearables industry is integrating fashion practices in their development, we envision new partnerships between the biotech/tech companies and skin professionals such as makeup artists…

PROJET PERSONNEL DEVELOPPEMENT

- Eco conception
- Applications textiles
- Modélisation 3D
- Matériaux, recettes DIY
- Tissage, tricot, etc.
- Teinture, impression, sérigraphie, techniques diverses
